155 Vehicles Netted in Operations Held on Jalan Raya Bekasi

155 vehicles netted in vehicle operation conducted by joint personnel on Jalan Raya Bekasi, precisely in front of Pulogadung Industry Area entrance, Cakung, East Jakarta, Monday (3/5).

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub) 's Monitor and Control Section Head, Slamet Dahlan said, operation is done due to many complaints from residents regarding public minivans that stop on the road and cause traffic jam.

"We follow up their report and it is right that many public minivans stop on the road and motorcycles go against the direction. Thus we hold joint operation on the location," he explained.

89 Vehicles in Kampung Melayu Terminal Area Netted

He mentioned, 30 vehicles were ticketed by East Jakarta Sudinhub personnel, 50 vehicles were ticketed by police, 17 vehicles were towed, and 11 vehicle operations were stopped. Besides, 37 motorcycles and 10 cars were flattened due to parking on sidewalk and roadside.

"One of 11 vehicles operations that we stop, is AKAP bus with Jakarta-Cirebon route. We find this bus passed the location and then we pursue it up to Pulomas," he affirmed.
